Words of Wisdom for a Conscious and Balanced Life
Life is a continuous journey of learning, balancing, and discovering deeper truths about ourselves and the world around us. Here are some reflections and insights to ponder. Read slowly and let each message resonate within you:
Body, Mind, and Soul
Some are led by their body and so prioritize its pleasures, be it more food, sex, security. Others are led by their mind, enjoying mental challenges, managed by their fears and limitations and dopamin-oriented activities, by “doing”. Some succeeded to reach their soul in art and silence and thus prefer “not-doing” but being. Few continuously balance these 3 aspects of life. Those are the wise ones.
Gratitude for Existence
I am blessed to be here, alive, breathing and seeing, because without me, the entire world would cease to exist.
Wanting vs Needing
I am not happy because I need something or someone to fill in the gap inside of me. Once I ignore needing, once I forget about needing, once I honestly change needing into wanting, my unhappiness magically disappears.
Changing Myself
The door is a door, for me. This person is bad, for me. I love this food, according to me. This stucks, because of me. Reality is all from me and to me. I don’t have to change this and that. I can rather change me.
Systemic Solutions
A systematic problem requires a systemic solution. If a football team is losing most of the time, it’s probably not due to 1 player, coach or staff member, but can be due to a range of factors from the budget to field grass quality to the teamwork vibe and flow. The same works for Homo Sapiens. Fix the parts first. Then fine-tune the link between the parts. All working towards a known or to-discover purpose.
Living with Nature
For millions of years we lived in nature, with nature and thanks to nature. Like a tree in a jungle, we were all and all was us. Now, most of us are born in contaminated structured cities with a smartphone on their hands and a body-mind controlled super-ego Maya. We ignored and distorted the source. And so it ignored us. A wasted purposeless life of unnecessary doings.
Inner Child
There is a kid inside of me. A beautiful joyful and present kid. A kid that doesn’t care what adults think or want. A kid that does what it does and plays what it plays. An eternal kid. Will I find it back?
Pure Love
Love is a beautiful thing. It reminds us who we are deep down. A pure love. Love for presence. Love for not thinking much. Love for fun. Love for purpose. Love for LIFE. I don’t need anyone to love. I just can. It’s in me. Here. Now.
Economy and Human Nature
We, humans, built a big system called the economy, which nicely allows to meet various needs of various individuals and families across the globe, not having to worry much about our basic survival needs that much. One major issue is that this system did not anticipate our human (and animal) nature which leans towards greed, selfishness and continuous cycle of needing more and more, things that we never actually needed thousands of years ago. When is it going to stop? Minimalism, renewable energies and a global rise of consciousness are more than needed.
Seeking and Needing
I seek it because I want it. Or because I need it.
Conscious Balance
We often talk too much, eat too much, do too much. Get rid of the much and find your balance. The middle way is a conscious bliss.
Balance as a Feeling
Okay, I understand that balance is important in life, But what’s Balance? The middle between opposites? No. It’s a feeling. An intuition. A consciousness. The more I know myself, the more I feel when the balance is disrupted, and the sooner I can act to re-establish another new balance if needed.
Perception of Noise and Smells
Noise. Bad Smells. Ugly faces. All these don’t exist in absolute. It’s a pure interpretation of my mind and ego. Why? Finding the answer is a big step towards self-realization.
Imbalance and Health
Many if not most health problems are due to imbalance. While physiological or body imbalances are easier to observe and tackle (hormones, blood, cells…), we rarely doubt that living a life that is not ours, being mentally vulnerable, or rarely connecting with our soul, is the root cause of illness.
Letting Go of Problems
I don’t need to solve all my problems. I only need to deeply grasp that the only problem is to think I have too many problems. I can start there first then things will align gradually.
Feeling vs Thinking
If you feel it’s right. If you think it’s right. Then it must be right. If there is conflict between my feeling and my thinking, then I should stop, breathe and listen to the whisper of my soul.
Like a Plant
A plant is just there. Living. Not worrying. Not stressing. Not planning. It’s just there. Being. I wish I could be a plant sometimes.
Mystic and Crazy
The line between mystical spirituality and histery is very thin. The main difference between a mystic and a crazy is that one often succeeds to putting some sense into the experience while the other can’t.
Infinite Potential
Deep within me there is a huge potential, an infinite energy of love, manifestation, forgiveness, power. I can activate this dormant gift anytime I want, anywhere I am. The only thing I need to do is build my willpower to be the one in charge of my life, not my body, not my limited mind.
Universe Within
The Universe is Me and I am the Universe.
The Monkey Mind
We are fed thoughts and feelings that are not ours throughout the day. We are told what to do and what to like and what to avoid by a dominant active talkative Monkey, inside of each of us, which we barely perceive. They call the Monkey Mind. One initial purpose of Meditation is to shed the light on this Monkey and seperate our True Selves from it. The Monkey will always be there. But it will be tamed.
Meditation Means Presence
Meditation means presence. There are a lof of technics with various labels from various cultures, but all point toward the same objective: being present. So we use technics of meditation (mantra, breathing, focus, slow walking, candle watching, yoga, shamanism, etc.) to reach a meditative state, an alpha-wave sort of frequency in our brains, which relaxes the Monkey mind and allows for more clarity and inner peace.
Expanding Consciousness
Once I start my meditation journey, and I succeed to calm down the mind more easily, I can move to upper stages of the game by expanding my consciousness, by being more mindful of the causes and effects in play in my life and in the world around me. I can update with OS (operating system) and live with more joy, presence and purpose everyday. Mindfulness meditation, balancing my Qi/Prana, and some mystical plants can support this process.
Senses and Control
Can I stop hearing without blocking my ears, or stop seeing without closing my eyes? Why? The body does what the body does, and I have little control over it. Likewise, the Mind does what the Mind does, keeping me alive through fears and planning and anticipation based on past memories and learnings. And I have little control over it. Unless I train it.
Jealousy and Wholeness
I feek jealousy and create stories in my own mind because I believe I exclusively own the other person. I believe I own the other person because I want to clearly mark my territory like a dog. I want to mark my territory because I don’t feel secure by myself. My ego doesn’t feel feel secure because I am not whole in this moment yet. Wholeness is thus the problem and the solution to jealousy.
Cause and Effect
A basic law in the universe is Cause & Effect. Every effect has a cause. Every cause has an effect. Sometimes we think we know the cause. We often only know the obvious cause. The hidden chain of cause & effect runs eternally. An infinite play of possibilities. Some causes are even beyond our perception in realms that we barely know about. Some causes are beyond space and time, beyond the human matrix. The more we ascend in consciousness, the more we see. The more we see, the less we know.
Psychedelics and Spiritual Readiness
Like gold at the eyes of chickens, psychedelics are pretty useless in the hands of people below a certain threshold of spiritual power or consciousness. It depends highly on past lives and what the universe has for us in terms of growth perspective in this life. If used with precaution and preparation, they can break down some barriers of the soul and pave some way towards higher dimensions of reality and understanding.
Connecting with the Soul
If I can’t feel unconditional joy in the now, then work is to be done on connecting with my soul. If my soul is unreachable, then I can start by calming my Monkey Mind and connecting with Mother Nature. If I can’t tame my mind, then I can start with my body. I can do more sport, fast, eat healthier, sleep better. Yoga, Vedanta, Tantra. If I can’t get my body moving, then I can start with a book, a video, or any small routine towards change. If not, what a wasted life!
Dimensions of Life
There are many dimensions in Life. Plants may be considered as the lower dimension since they are almost totally dependent on external factors like weather, earth, etc. Animals, from fish to insects to reptiles to birds to mammals come next. These, in varying degrees, can manage to adjust certain behaviors depending on the cues they dynamically get from the environment. Humans are special in that they have WillPower.
They can say yes or no, independent of the environment. I can say no to a delicious meal even if I’m hungry, something that a dog would never do unless trained. Obviously this willpower is relative to every person, the higher consciousness you acquire, the more willpower you have, because you will be less controlled by subconscious processes that govern the life of most of us.
Obviously we can’t fly with our willpower alone. That’s why, the next dimension, angelic beings if we would like, broke free from many limitations we still have in being in a physical body with an illusioned mind.
The Limitations of Positive Psychology
I am great. I am amazing. I am beautiful. I am complete. All this is bullshit. Positive psychology is nice to hide the problems for a little while. As long as I don’t deeply subconsciously truly believe these words, I’m just wasting my time. If I repeat it everyday for one year then it may work to push it from the conscious to the subconscious. But it all still an ego search for shelter, not a profound discovery of my absolutely amazing egoless nature.
Conflicting Paths: Ego and Soul
An ant walking north on top of an elephant walking south, where does it head? North or south? We all have this conflict inside of us. A conscious mind or ego leading one way, while subconscious, the soul, the universe leading elsewhere. The challenge is to align them. By changing the ego, or by changing the universe. Which is easier?
Embracing Life’s Lessons
How many times do I have to fall to understand that falling on an ascending slope is still moving up. How many times do I have to cry to grasp that my tears made flowers behind. How many times should I do whatever, feel whatever, to know that life is a package of experiences one after the other teaching me more than a thousand books combined. Teaching me first to Let Go. To Flow. To Be. Then to Adjust if need be.
Finding Purpose in Life
What’s my purpose in Life? Such a big question, when asked prematurely, can give headache. There are 2 ways to find purpose. Either you seek it. You try this and that. Label this a purpose then that. Till you are satisfied with some job, passion, lifestyle for long enough to call it purpose. Or you work on your presence and mindfulness and stay open to all possibilities. Then maybe your purpose will be given to you.
Law of Attraction and True Alignment
The law of attraction. We all want to use it to our advantage. We want to manifest awesome things in my life, like a lot of money, a loving partner, etc. but just repeating it doesn’t work. Why? The reason is simple. We are only capable of attracting what we are, not what we (ego) want. If I finally believe by some meditative work on myself that I am enough, I will attract abundance, because everything is connected on a vibrational level. If I truly believe I am enough by myself, the universe will offer me beautiful loving partners. If I’m convinced my body is strong enough to heal itself, I will heal. Talking/Doing and Being are two different things.
Chakras and Human Nature
Sex excites the bottom Chakras, the sacral one in particular. It’s animalistic, dopamine-releasing and survival-based. The Soul or God’s Love and connection is mostly located in the crown and third eye charas. Romantic love however is rather found in the heart Chakra, almost the midway between animalistic and divine love. Like humans are located between animals and gods in the scale of willpower and freedom.
DNA and Human Potential
If we divide the DNA of any human cells, we reach a length of 8 times the distance between Mother Earth and the Moon. Only 2.2% of this distance belongs to Man or Homo Sapiens. The rest is similar to champanzees. The 2.2% makes us genius. The 2.2% makes us incredibly gifted. The 2.2% also makes us stupid, greedy and heartless. The 2.2% makes us everything. We don’t need to change everything to be everything we dream to be. We can only change our identity, our belief about who we are and how grandiose our existence truly is.
Returning to Control
Am I always happy? No. Am I always smiling? No. Am I always Zen? No. As long as I live, my ego will take over time and time again. It’s our interface to face the world and survive and achieve. Nonetheless, Am I always able to get back the control? Yes. Am I capable of putting in perspective whatever happens to me? Yes. Can prioritize my soul over my ego to regain peace? Definitely yes.
Breaking Free from the Boxes
My name is X. I am from Y. I love Z. And all the A, B, C, D till doing the turn of the alphabet is merely a story I built throughout the years, supported by my fading genetic and mental memory. It’s true that it’s the only way I can communicate with others. BUT. I can also grasp that below the shadow of this box I put myself into there something necessary to it all, and common to all stories. Something including an infinity of boxes. Something boxeless. This is where true power and bliss resides. In breaking free from the box.
Chance: A Door to Growth
Chance does not exist. What exists are the chain of causes and effects that we barely grasp with our limited mind. So we call it chance. Chance can be a message from the universe, clues to pay attention to, steps towards a hidden path of growth and new experiences. The universe is not out there looking after us, it’s inside, it’s the power that turns a subconscious event to a conscious one, it’s what I become more aware and connected with as I become more mindful through meditation, yoga and other mystical and spiritual practices.
Hidden Energies Around Us
We go throughout the day collecting other people’s energies and vibes without being aware of it. Even the static objects from walls to rocks to plants get contaminated. No surprise that people in big cities like Paris and London are suffering inside. The high stress there and lack of cleaning energy like the sun, sea and nature contaminate everything like a virus. We are obviously not aware of this hidden process until we’ve been through the spiritual path of knowing what a high vibration feels like and when we are more aware of ourselves and states.
Different Views, Different Truths
Everything we see, we see through our eyes. Everything we believe, we believe from our perspective. Everything we talk comes from our background, past experiences and learnings. So it’s useless to argue with someone on who’s right and who’s wrong. Both are right. Both are wrong.
Facing Our Deepest Fear
All our fears, be it fear of public speaking, fear of rejection, fear of taking the adventurous road, and the thousands of fears we may have, stem from the only real fear that exists. The egos’ fear of dying, which itself stands for the ego’s fear of discovering its own impermanence, its own illusion, its game of hiding our true borderless nature.
Redefining Happiness
When one mentions happiness, we automatically think of a smiling face all the time, playing, having fun with one’s money and objects and partners etc. But we rarely envision happiness as a painful yet purposeful life where we fail, learn, stand, keep on going, growing, sharing and showing the example to others behind us. Happiness is an art of finding meaning and love in whatever comes our way. Not a destination. Not a posture. Not a lifestyle.
